Making Life Better!
To save our open accessed youth provision, which is currently struggling to continue due to on-going revenue & staffing costs. We don't want to lose what we have, but to be able to sustain this going forward & continue giving young people somewhere safe, and fun to attend, & better chances in life
Charity information: KPC Youth & Community
We have been running our open access youth provision since 1998. Over recent years this has become harder to sustain, meaning that we have subsidised our provision from our annual reserves. We are at a crucial point now going forward to retain the charity. We are seeking funding to give us core costs to gain time to explore other avenues of sustainability and project development. We don't want to lose what we have worked on for 18 years, and know is still very much needed in our community.
By having funding to help cover core costs, this will enable us to continue our project further, and give time to explore other ways of sustaining what we have. We still have a real need by members to access our provision, to gain social skills, develop themselves and have better chances in the future. We are in a disadvantaged area and know some young people struggle to gain the support they need elsewhere. We want to give stability to the project and to our young members.
To provide evening and holiday provision for young people aged 8+
Activities» Work on fundraising to cover core costs of the project
Covering costs of over-heads, without the need to reduce our actual opening times. Engaging with approx 350 young people annually
More sustainability for the project and an opportunity to take stock of where we're at, develop alternative income streams/revenue going forward to be more sustainable.
Lack of income coming in, could mean a reduction in the service we offer to young people, and possible closure. This could also result in loss of staff and volunteers in the interim. We would work on motivating staff/members and volunteers by demonstrating the work going into this campaign

KPC is a grass roots project set up in 1998
It has expanded and now works not just with young people but also older community members, local unemployed etc., helping them with skills, accredited learning and to have more chance of employment
Young people attending our centre to have better opportunities in life
Parents - respite/support for their child
Local Community - less youth annoyance, anti-social behaviour etc.
Also we will be helping develop our local youth to be better community members for the future
We are a grass roots project at the heart of our community. We work with the family as a whole - to support them and give better opportunities in life. We have a long breadth of experience of our community and want to really benefit young people and our future generations.

“KPC are an invaluable and integral part of our community, they offer a safe place for children of all ages to meet up and socialise in a supervised and fun environment. For us at Pyle Police Station, we are extremely grateful for all of the work the staff at KPC do as they aid us in our job
