  • Need

Social Butterflies will target mainstream children from disadvantaged families who lag behind in their social and communication skills leading them to have problems making friends, asking for help and reaching their full potential.
Being that the problem is not severe enough for them to be eligible for government/school help, and the parents being unable to afford private help, the children's social and communication difficulties are not being addressed.

We are addressing this problem by launching fun and stimulating groups under the guidance of qualified speech and language therapists at no cost to the users . They will work in small groups with each child having individual targets.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

The children will feel empowered and fulfilled as they discover new potentials.

» All children will know their individual targets and work together with the therapist to achieve it.

Stage a performance where each child will have a chance to shine. They will work on it as a team.

    Aim 2

They will gain tools to work successfully as part of a team, an extremely important life skill .

» Lots of the work at the groups will be done in team work.

Stage a performance where each child will have a chance to shine. They will work on it as a team.

    Aim 3

Participants will be far more likely to develop into competent, motivated adults.

» By working on improving their communication skills through various activities , they will fell more confident to go out in the big wide world.

At completion of this course the children will tell us how they feel the course has impacted their lives.

  • Impact

In the long term participants will develop into competent, motivated adults who are able to contribute to society, hold down jobs and make a positive impact on their surrounding.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We have run this project last year and it was a major success. Parents, children and teachers reported the significant changes and impact it had on the children taking part.
Bringing our expertise and experience from running this project last year and currently running various clubs and courses we feel we are best suited toi carry out this project.
