  • Impact

More young people will make positive choices in the education system. We will see less young people at risk of CSE and a reduction of young people engaging in gang involvement.

The main risks around managing the behaviours of young people. These are managed through risk assessments and by an extensive training programme for our team of staff and volunteers.

  • Background

South Norwood is a northern ward of croydon. Deprivation and underinvestment is a real issue for the area which is in the bottom 3% for UK for crime and the bottom 15% for multiple deprivation

We will work with young people from predominantly the BME community. Many of them are at risk of exclusion, gang involvement. The lack of role models at home - particularly amongst boys is a particular area of concern. The project is focused on young people aged 12-17 with volunteering opportunities for 18+.
