    Need

Qamishli is a forgotten area of Syria. Affected by the conflict in Syria, the area is regularly bombarded by fighting and people have been left to fend for themselves and those most needy are left in despair. There are no basic amenities, food or medical supplies.
We are working with Nesrin Yousef, one of SOLA ARTS' core volunteers, to support her campaign to raise funds to help through a teacher in Qamishli, Yasir Hussein, who works daily to get vital support to those most in need.

    Solution

Using FESTIVAL 31 (www.festival31.com) as a catalyst for action, we will give 100% of your donations from this campaign to Nesrin who gives all of the donations to Yasir in Qamishli. This will provide essential humantirian support; medical care, food and removal of sick people from the conflict areas. We need your help to make this happen!

  • Impact

    Impact

Saving people with physical and mental health problems from the bombing and shooting. Protecting lives.

    Risk

The money is only given to trustworthy people. We work with Nesrin for the transfer of the donations. We trust Nesrin as we have worked with her and her family in community development in the UK for 5 years. She is DBS checked and a school governor. Nesrin is an honest woman and would not send money to someone she did not fully trust. Herself a refugee, she knows the situation on the ground in Qamishli and vouches for the teacher; knowing him personally.
