Mums, dads, granddads, grandmas, aunties, uncles and carers, they are the most important teachers of a child. If families are not well educated this will effect the whole generation. Especially if English is not their first language, families have problems with understanding and supporting their child/ren.
Amity can help families develop their skills on Family Language courses which will help you support their child/ren. This will improve parents, carers and young people’s confidence and feelings of engagement within education as well as with each other, ultimately leading to children and parents achieving their full potential.
To encourage intergenerational learning
Activities» English as an additional language (ESOL) classes.

Family Learning provides a good introduction to learning for adults and will build confidence in supporting children's learning. Benefits for children include improved social skills and relationships with peers and adults. Courses give adults a sample of the range of learning opportunities available.
Amity has done this kind of project before so many times and has the experience to avoid possible risks.
We will set up a detailed report, together with pictures and figures. This report will be published and a copy will be sent to donors.
