    Need

As of April 2016 Volunteer Centre Swindon has lost funding to support individuals want to volunteer their time in Swindon to help others. Many of the people who use our services are looking to keep active and independent in their retirement. However they are not sure what opportunities there are to get engaged with or if they are able to help.

    Solution

Through funding to support our work with individuals we will be able to continue offering advice and support about volunteering, encouraging the take up of opportunities. Through undertaking volunteering people will remain active in their community, share their knowledge, skills and life skills and be more engaged in their local communities. Local charities and communities will have more volunteers helping them deliver services
