New Classroom Furniture for St. George's Pupils

Our lovely historical school provides a wonderful environment for our children to learn and play, but from time to time, a refresh is required.

This year, we are raising funds for new chairs and desks in each of the classrooms, as the current furnishings date back to the 60s & children are taller!

December 2015 - April 2016

  • Need

    Need

We have 7 classrooms in our Primary School, of which 6 require new tables and chairs for the children to sit and work from.

Most of our current furniture was purchased in the 60s, which while solid and rather charmingly retro in design, are now getting seriously banged up.

And interestingly, our children are getting taller on average, and so many of the tables and chairs are a poor fit for the pupils.

Replacing classroom furniture is an important investment, and we need your help.

    Solution

With your help, we can re-furnish each of the classrooms with solid and robust furniture which will once again last many decades.

We need to raise £21,600 in total for this purchase. And we're going to need your help!

If you would like to make a long-term contribution to St. George's of Hanover Square, please consider making a donation towards this cause.

  • Impact

    Impact

Your generous donation will enable us to purchase solid and robust furniture for our pupils, that will last for many decades.

    Risk

Our central risk is that we are unable to finance the purchase of all of the required furniture, but we are proceeding classroom by classroom, and will continue with our goal until complete.

Additionally, we are working with the local business community to identify potential donations of a larger scale.

    Reporting

We will provide updates of how close we are getting to our desired total fundraising goal, as well as sharing photos of each classroom as we refurnish them.
