  • Need

Getting members of our community actively involved in local activities and projects. Where every potential is given an opportunity to be developed. Helping to create a lasting effect of confidence and pride (for both individuals and community). Through cooperation and outcome. A sense of common goals and serving to assure local welfare, wealth and decent living standards.

Give support - such as managerial and financial - to new creative ideas across a range of themes and issues. That can take place at our Garden. To put them in to practice. Promoting the individual or group, and to help improve awareness and participation. So that the new ideas can flourish to enable local people to better engage and participate in activities that enhance and improve mental and physical health, artistic and environmental awareness and increased social contact.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Invite new creative ideas, that can be both funded and supported.

» Activities are invited across a wide range of artistic, environmental, social and others. To encourage imagination and to try things out.

    What success will look like

The new ideas will be evaluated, by a small team of volunteers. To decide on innovation, financial viability and meeting a need.

  • Impact

The new ideas will be seen as experiments and pilots, that can then be changed and modified to become more permanent and regular. They could be become a part of our schedule of delivery and engagement with our community. Or be activities or training that supports having new experiences and learning new skills. Some of these will be around building increased confidence and better health outcomes, and some around skills that may lead on to other training or towards employability.

Inviting creativity is based on new ideas and innovation, and trying things out. Maybe for the first time. Inevitably, this will involve more risk than is usual with other tried and tested ways of working. Yet this will be supported within a loose framework, to make it both achievable and practical.

Every new creative idea will have a description and outline in writing, and possibly images. That will clearly describe the project. Together with a budget to realize the project. Each project will have to engage with a minimum of 6 to 10 people. Monitoring on attendance, age, employment, ethicity.
