3G Artificial Community Pitch

To construct a 3rd generation all weather pitch for use of our club, other local clubs and individuals from the community.

  • Need

    Need

    Through the winter we have to hire facilities to enable our teams to train, these costs rise every year and are very expensive. The club currently spends approximately £11k per year hiring these pitches.

    Other local teams have the same problem.

    Solution

    By owning our own 3G pitch we could cut out the hiring costs we currently have and using the £11k saved towards the running costs of this floodlit pitch, upgrading our clubhouse facilities and also go towards future projects bringing our local community together.
    By renting this pitch out at affordable prices would not only help out other local teams facing the same financial challenges but it would also bring in a steady income enabling the club to keep subscriptions low and affordable.

    To enable teams at our club to be able to train and play all year round without the worry of costs.

    Activities

    » Raise awareness of this project to the local community by various fundraising events.
    » Applying for grants to help with the funding of this large project.

    We can monitor the amount of training sessions and matches cancelled and compare them with previous years to see the reductions in cancellations.


    Aim 2

    Helping other teams in the local community with affordable pitch hire and generating a small income.

    Activities

    » The income received will be put back into the community by hosting tournaments for all ages and updating our equipment and clubhouse for all to use.

    We can monitor how many local teams hire our affordable pitch on a regular basis through the winter months.


  • Impact

    Impact

    All year round training for our teams and local teams with the darker nights as the pitch would have flood lights. We currently host a mini soccer, Saturday and Sunday leagues so there will be less cancelled matches due to water logged pitches as this will be an all weather pitch.

    The steady income raised from hiring this pitch will enable the club to be more independant and ensure the club can run for many years to come benefiting all of our community of all ages and backgrounds.

    Risk

    This is a large project for us so there is a risk we do not raise enough money.
    We have some dedicated volunteers to work on fundraising and awareness of our project who are also applying for grants and contacting local businesses for donations to eliminate this risk.

    Reporting

    Donors will be kept up to date by monthly emails stating how much has been raised to date and any fundraising events planned. Information will also be shown on our website of targets and amount raised so far.

    Location

    KYPC is a community based project established in 1980. It currently hosts three leagues and various tournaments.

    Beneficiaries

    In our leagues we not only have local teams but some teams travel up to 40 miles to take part.
    Our club takes great pride in being accessible to families of different financial backgrounds enabling all children to take part and developing there skills.

    As KYPC hosts the league we have teams travel up to 40 miles to take part. We are based in the heart of the community and provide facilities for all ages.
    We have a clubhouse with a cafe and a fully licensed bar where we hold many fundraising events.
    To have a 3G pitch would only strengthen our club and provide more affordable services not only to our own teams but local teams and other members of the community.

    People

    Sean Allan/Chairman

    Sean has been Chairman for many years now. He not only provides support to the committee and managers but he also does a lot of the manual work too.

    Adam Jones/Manager

    Adam manages the under 14's team and also helps run the academy. Adam arranges all of the tournaments we hold and also helps out with maintenance.
