Need
Need
Many inner city young people struggle with severe poverty and dysfunction and do not have the financial means to broaden their horizons, experience nature and sporting activities or participate in holiday activities like their friends. This often leads to destructive behaviour and breeds jealousy and unhappiness.
Solution
We provide recreational opportunities and holiday programs to those struggling with poverty so that they can gain a sense of belonging and participate in experiences that would otherwise be an unattainable dream. This allows them to join their peers and spend the time off school in a productive way.

Aims
Aim 1
To improve the lives of disadvantaged young people facing poverty and or disabilities.
Activities
» Inspirations arrange weekend and holiday programs/activities that give young people the opportunity to partake in sport and recreational activities.
Success will be enrolment of 120 young people as participants of our summer holiday program.
-
Impact
Impact
The project will increase the confidence and social skills of these young people as well as making them feel part of their peer-group rather than isolated by their financial hardship. This will enable them to face their challenges head-on and give them the encouragement to become productive members of society by seeking employment or furthering their education. A survey will be given at the end of the program to evaluate the success of the project.
Risk
There is a risk of insufficient funds. Unfortunately that will mean that we will have to decline some applications and disappointment a number of young people who were looking forward to participate. Hopefully it will not come to this.
Reporting
Donors will receive an email update prior to and following the project.
