  • Need

    Need

Our young people travel to various events, courses and training events using the bus, which is now becoming an issue due to the bus failing on a regular basis. We were recently honoured in taking 15 cadets to Westminster Abbey where they took part in the 70th VE Day commemoration Service.

At the end of October 2017 our minibus was stolen and we are asking the local community as well as business's to donate towards us being able to buy a new or reasonable secondhand minibus.

    Solution

By seeking donations in the usual way from activities like fetes and bag packing for customers in supermarkets. We are also approaching local companies and business' as well as Trust Funds for help.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

The aim is to raise £15,000.00 towards buying a new minibus or a reasonable secondhand one.

    Activities

» Hold events , attend fetes, bag packing in supermarkets, approach trust funds and local companies and business for donations and sponsorship.

We will demonstrate our success by the more events our cadets and staff attend and the competition results and course passes they gain over the lifetime of our new minibus.

  • Impact

    Impact

We are passionate about the life changing experiences we provide our cadets and want as much support as possible to continue and then expand what we have done so successfully for more than 70 years at Dartford.

    Risk

Without a minibus our ability to deliver the unique Sea Cadet Experience to our 40 cadets and juniors aged 10 years to 18 years would be greatly reduced. Our minibus is our lifeline without it our ability to get cadets and staff away on competitions, courses and UK wide events is severely diminished.

    Reporting

By email and social media such as Facebook and Twitter and by updating this site as well as our website accordingly.
