  • Need

Many families with disabled children are often unable to partake in such holidays, due to the large amount of necessities and planning required to go on a holiday that other families take for granted - such as transport (flying or driving), specialist equipment (e.g. oxygen, medication etc.), accommodation adapted for disabled people and so on. It can be very tough for families to sort this out for themselves if they have no prior knowledge in this area.

Fulfil the Wish has been organising holidays and trips for families with disabled children for over 15 years. We meticulously plan the trips, allowing families who travel with us to enjoy their holiday together, without having to worry about the logistics and organising everything. All the transport, accommodation and tickets are taken care of so all they have to worry about is enjoying their stay

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To make the holiday to Disneyland possible for many families as possible

» By actively fundraising to enable us to mostly fund the trip and ensuring that all aspects of the holiday are organised as effectively as possible.

    What success will look like

The feedback from the families on the holiday will be the major indicator of success. We have always had incredible feedback from the families we travel with.

    Aim 2

To cover as much of the financial cost of the holiday as possible

» Fundraising and donations from people and businesses will allow us to heavily subsidise the cost of the trip for each family

    What success will look like

To make sure that the holiday is available to everyone who meets our criteria, regardless of wealth. We aim to help people who would otherwise not be able to afford this holiday.

  • Impact

This holiday will provide a once-in-a-lifetime holiday for many children and families on the trip. We hope that the socialising people do whilst away with us will continue after the trip and our charity network will grow. Through this, we hope to see greater recognition for the charity, more donations and fundraising as well as more applicants for our future holidays.

Risks could include people falling ill whilst travelling with us, especially children with complex health needs. In this instance, it is the immediate responsibility of the family to deal with such problems, but the organisers of the trip are qualified nurses who can help out if necessary. As we have been running the trips for many years, we are also accustomed to accessing healthcare whilst away (e.g. calling out doctors to the hotel) and we will gladly help whenever needed.

We always post photos from our holidays to our websites and we sometimes ask for testimonials from the families who travel with us, particularly from either the disabled children or their siblings. Any donor would be welcome to email us and we can report thoroughly on how the trip was received.

£30,000 Overall cost Five day, four night trip to Disneyland Paris
  • Background

The project will take place at Disneyland Paris, a popular holiday destination and a dream holiday for many of the children we help.

Families with children with disabilities and complex health needs will benefit as the trip is aimed towards helping them go on a holiday that may otherwise have been very difficult, if not impossible.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We have over 15 years experience in organising these trips and with each year's holiday we aim to continuously improve on the year before. We have a strong understanding of how to run the trips and how best to adapt to the varying needs of the families who travel with us. We have perfected the ability to make sure that each family has minimal stress in enjoying a well-planned, once-in-a-lifetime holiday together.
