To build relationships and community connections between isolated people

» Volunteers will set up and run community activities such as coffee mornings

  • Impact

To delay elderly and disabled people accessing Social Services support or going into old people's homes.

    1. Making contact with elderly or disabled people who need support, and getting them to use our project.
We have already made links with a number of agencies who could refer people including GP's, local charities and churches.
    2. Not being able to recruit enough volunteers.
We are used to recruiting and supporting volunteers and have over 80 volunteers regularly volunteering for us. The project is also being set up to reward volunteers with time credits they can spend, getting help in return.

We will provide 3 monthly updates of what the project is doing and some case studies of people who have been practically helped. Donors will also be welcome to visit the project if they wish.
