More than 4,000 people have been reported dead after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal on Saturday 25th April. Sadly, these numbers are expected to rise. Medair has mobilised its emergency response team to provide live-saving relief to the most vulnerable people.
As long as necessary
Thousands of people in Nepal are in need of shelter, food and access to emergency healthcare following a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks. According to news reports, vast tent cities have sprung up in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, with thousands of people sleeping outside, too afraid or unable to return to their homes. Hospitals are overwhelmed and health and water supplies are severely stretched.
Medair's Nepal Emergency appeal will fund life-saving relief for vulnerable people. This includes: emergency shelter structures, emergency health kit distribution, water, sanitation & hygiene items.
