Help a Teenager get to Lourdes
Lourdes is an amazing place and we want to give up to twenty eight teenagers the opportunity to go there. And we want to do this by asking them to pay only £100 for the privilege of going 6th - 10th August 2016. They'll be staying at the youth village and enjoy age appropriate activities and worship
October 2017 - August 2018

The full cost of this pilgrimage for the 12 - 18 year olds is prohibitive for many, especially those from backgrounds where there is less money.
We believe asking the young person to find £100 is reasonable and enable many more to go to Lourdes.
Take up to twenty eight teenagers to Lourdes.

Young people attending and enjoying themselves. Reflections in the Society magazine, 'Ave.'
The immeasurable benefit that expanding young people's horizons does. The success will be seen in these young people being deepened in their faith and hearing God's call in their parishes and own contexts. previous experience shows this happens.
This is a big financial undertaking and the Society will underwrite the expenditure and we are sure this could be borne if fundraising was unsuccessful.
Copies of the Ave after the pilgrimage could be sent if contact details are given. Similarly, written comments from teenagers could be sent directly.

The young people will come from across England and the Society of Mary is particularly at attracting young people from area of economic deprivation in London and the North East. We will be travelling to Lourdes, a place of beauty and general interest, as well as religious significance.
The 12 to 18 year olds from across England's communities, and indeed the adults travelling with them who have much to learn from the young. This is a truly intergenerational event.
We have a proven track record of success, this having been organised at the same scale last year and at smaller scales on other occasions.
