  • Need

    Need

The Nisaa Women’s Project tackles a wide range of gender-related issues: gender rights, equality, family building, raising of children, psychological and counseling needs.

    Solution

Targeting women aged 25-50 and using a variety of media, the Nisaa Project seeks to challenge women’s core beliefs, attitudes and perceptions of themselves and others. It aims to correct women’s self image to empower them and encourage men to value women as an equal partner. It address different important and integral issues of a woman’s life building on psychological and scientific facts to open a broad chances for women to talk & share their feeling, experiences, feedback, etc.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Send a message to women that they are precious.

    Activities

» The centrepiece is an online magazine that seeks to be a woman’s ‘inner voice’, a place where women’s inner experience is shared and support nurtured.

We will demonstrate this success from the increase in number of women in the website’s community online and their interaction.

    Aim 2

Empower women to use and develop their skills and abilities by providing support and emanating hope.

    Activities

» The website allows women to send in their questions and concerns then a professional councilor communicates with them.
» Women are encouraged to contribute to the content of the website by sending their writings and opinion.

We will demonstrate this success from the increase in number of women in the website’s community online and their interaction.

    Aim 3

Encourage women to increase the contribution they make to wider society.

    Activities

» Increasingly we are seeking to turn the online experience into an offline community by having gatherings and events for women.

we will demonstrate that in the qualitative feedback we receive from individuals who have been served through the project.

    Aim 4

Inform and educate women about gender equality and human rights.

    Activities

» Video is used to compliment and reinforce the core messages on the website.

we will demonstrate that in the qualitative feedback we receive from individuals who have been served through the project.

  • Impact

    Impact

Our project will cause change in women’s lives to improve their quality to become stronger women who are able to influence others. We will demonstrate this success from the increase in number of women in the website’s community online and their interaction. Also we will demonstrate that in the qualitative feedback we receive from individuals who have been served through the project.

    Risk

The project depends mainly on raising funds and the risk that the project would cease if funds are not available or decrease substantially. This is the main risk at the moment. It cannot be funded locally because gender rights are not on the priority list of sponsors or corporate entities wanting to advertise their products/services for income generating purposes.

    Reporting

MEM reports to donors through a quarterly newsletter. Like all MEM projects, reports are given twice yearly to our UK/EU board and at the end of the year to our international board. There is a review every year from an independent auditor where this project will be evaluated.
