Project-Voice it

Performance poetry project working with adults with Autism, Exploring themes of anti- social behavior, cyber bulling and gender and racial equality. The young people will chose a theme to explore and develop poetry for performance.

  • Need

    Need

    The project will help to achieve a reduction in anti-social crime in our locality and by having an anti-crime theme to our potential composition we will hopefully educate other young people about the damage of crime to our community. Most of the entire project will impart skills for future confidence and propriety of young people who take part and make less likely that crime feature as part of their lives in the future

    Solution

    1/ young people will enhance their skills in the use of voice and presentation and will be able to demonstrate those skills to improve focus and confidence and an avenue to express themselves in an artistically.
    2/Young people and vulnerable adults will work together to plan design and develop and achieve a product.
    3/ young people and vulnerable adults will rehearse and perform a show back at a community event .

    » Working with our current client group and other local groups to take part - create and disseminate the books

    / young people and vulnerable adults will rehearse and perform a show back at a community event.

    Risk

    We have good links with the police and local authority in order to keep young people attending regularly.

    Reporting

    A book and sound recordings will be put in to a package for donor to be in receipt of after the project.
