Charity information: Miracle Theatre Company
Miracle produces a rich mix of touring theatre, always with a unique comic style, joyful use of language and an immediate visual appeal. It embraces digital technology and nurtures new writers, performers, venues and promoters.
Miracle works with promoters to build audiences by bringing ‘big’ shows to little venues; it is committed to touring work which is innovative, but not intimidating, and making it available to anyone and everyone.
Miracle shows help bring together communities in the far flung corners of the UK.
We tour to all sorts of veunes, from playing fields to clifftops in far-flung places, so as many people as possible stumble across us and can join in and enjoy what we do.
To produce high quality and accessible theatre, touring it to the widest possible audience.
Activities» We put our audience at the heart of our activities, take our shows into local communities and perform work that is innovative but not intimidating.
What success will look like
Our success will be demonstrated in the smiling faces of our audience, the popularity of our shows and the shining reviews and feedback we get from venues, audience and the press.
The long term changes that our work will bring about will be in our continued support of venues, promoters, individual artists and emerging companies. We provide ongoing support to help establish new venues and audiences, along with a springboard for new talent. We offer commissions to freelance artists, employ local graduates, provide advice, share resources, equipment and rehearsal premises, and offer training via placements, internships and workshops.
Miracle has been going from strength to strength, reaching bigger audiences and raising its profile with new kinds of projects, but as a small, lean organisation, with a small portfolio of funders, its financial stability can easily be adversely affected - a summer of rain or the loss of a core funder could put the company's finances at risk.
Miracle's versatility, pro-active attitude and ability to react to opportunity has enabled it to manage this risk for almost 40 yrs. Onwards and upwards!
We keep close to our audience by sending e-newsletters, posting on social media and keeping our website up to date.

We tour all over Cornwall and South West England, from the Isles of Scilly to Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and beyond.
Audiences of around 20,000 people a year, and around 20 cast and crew and 40 volunteers and students and around 50 venues benefit from our projects. The local economy also benefits, as we provide both entertainment for the local community and make a contribution to the South West's tourism offer (Miracle won Gold at the Cornwall Tourism Awards and Silver in the South West awards in 2014).
Miracle has almost 40 years experience of touring accessible theatre to the widest possible audience. It is committed to affordable ticket prices and taking shows to audiences with little access to live theatre.
