Myanmar : Leadership Training Appeal 2015
To fund income generation projects (like pig farming and water purification) in Myanmar so mission leaders there can be fully self-supporting for their mission work.
June 2015 - December 2015
Faith2Share is working with a group of mission leaders in Myanmar who lack resources to sustain their mission work across the country.
By setting up small income generation projects - two, pig farming and water purification (for sale) are already proposed - we will generate the funds they need.
To send start-up grants to mission leasers in Myanmar by September 2015
Activities» Raise £1,800 per project to send to Myanmar ahead of the faith2Share consultation there in September 2015
» Monitor and assess start-up projects and how these lead to mission sustainability.
Mission leaders will be adequately resourced and no longer be looking for external (out of country) funding.
These projects will act as models of best practice for other church and mission leaders in Myanmar who will also be inspired to work towards self-sustainability.
The projects could fail as a result of poor management of the pig farming or water purification or because of local community corruption.
Our website will carry reports of this work as it develops.
