'Pitch In'

  • Need

Through a number of public events and more importantly through the work we do with young people, the need for a facility like this has been identified. Accessibility is a key issue in our isolated rural community, with access to facilities such as this being a major barrier to participation. It complements work done recently in completing a walking track and when finished will enhance our reputation as a Rural Centre of Excellence.

We believe in doing things for ourselves. We look to develop local solutions to local problems. This fundraising will allow us to move one step closer to developing a 4G floodlit facility for all age groups to enjoy.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To build a 4G facility of approximately 600 sq m at the rear of our existing community facility

» To raise the capital funds required to commence the project or to help leverage additional funding

This is a capital project so ultimately our success will be based on the completion of the project and maximising its usage by the entire local community.

  • Impact

This project will be a a catalyst for increased health and physical well being within our rural community. We envisage that people will be more active and will have a facility which they can use all year round.

We understand the risks associated with capital projects. We have identified a suitable site on which some preliminary work has been done so we are comforted by this. We will use competent staff and volunteers to deliver on this project and ensure that all building work is done to building control standard. We will have a designated project lead who will oversee the project from start to finish.

We have a great track record of working closely with a relatively small pool of donors that know of the good work that we do and the difference we make. We will work closely with our donors to make them aware of the project and ensure regular communication with them throughout the project and at end
