  • Need

    Need

A lack of meaningful activities is a contributory factor in anti-social activity, this preventative project helps to mitigate the potential for this behaviour and petty criminality.

    Solution

A programme of different activities will help build self-esteem and confidence while providing an antidote to boredom. Activities can be one off or more regular, in groups or as individuals. Working with local partners activities may include volunteering to learn new skills or to improve the health and well being of the individual e.g. sport, gardening or creative activity. Projects will be flexible and engaging.

  • Aims

  • Impact

    Impact

There are different levels of success for individuals - outcomes are measured by the 'outcomes star' and development through attendance or attainment certificates. Some will move closer to full time education training or employment by developing the skills (time keeping, motivation) to positively engage with more formal programmes.

    Risk

That too few homeless people engage with the activities. This will be addressed through engaging with the individuals in order to find the appropriate activities for them.

    Reporting
