Extension of the South Tynedale Railway from Kirkhaugh to Slaggyford
It is proposrd to extend the South Tynedale Railway for a distance of 2½ miles to the existing station at the village of Slaggyford, with a new intermediate halt at Lintley. The extension will be constructed in three phases: (a) from Kirkhaugh to Lintley with a temporary run round loop at Lintley Halt; (b) continue the line to Slaggyford; (c) complete the signalling and sidings at Slaggyford.
