Charity information: The Castle (Wellingborough) Limited
There is a need to ensure resilience & sustainability in an environment that is seeing increasing pressure on support from public funding. There is an ever more compelling need to build our ability to raise funds through private means. Generating an uplift in support in the form of private giving – individuals, trusts, foundations, corporate bodies & other sources – has to be a priority to ensure future financial resilience. 20th Anniversary celebrations provide focus for such developments.
Participating in the Big Give will provide a focus on fundraising through pledges and donations at the launch of our 20th Anniversary campaign. The opportunities presented by the Big Give to link with this recognised scheme, combined with the potential for real financial gain with the Big Give's support in helping donations go further should make a positive contribution and form a great foundation to the ongoing anniversary fundraising campaign.
The Castle engages, inspires & stimulates our community & surrounding region with charitable aims...

The arts have power to transform participants lives. Our success is in contributing to experiences of living, working & visiting Wellingborough, serving a broad range of people.
The Castle delivers for local communities. The combined programme of performance, film, visual arts & participation engages with preschool & primary school children, elderly residents, disability groups & other communities. Elements deliver to participants that would not otherwise have such participatory arts access. This work needs financial support to keep it live. A Christmas Carol provides opportunity to reinvigorate & focus developments, creating the foundations for Christmases future.
It is clear that for The Castle to continue to deliver its key role within our community it is in need of financial support. A development sub-committee has been set up by the Board to help provide the framework for this development and to help defined and shape specific project work and activity to unlock this potential. To resource this development a Fundraising and Development Manager has been appointed to ensure capacity and capability of delivery.
Supporters will be invited to attend a VIP reception, to attend performances and sharings of work and workshops. They will receive The Castle's Newsnotes newsletter and will receive updates and information on forthcoming activities, events, and ongoing fundraising and development progress.
