  • Need

CAVRA aims to provide assistance during floods and other adverse weather conditions.
We assisted in Somerset earlier this year, and have offered our services across most of the South-Western part of the UK for future incidents.

By spreading our wings and having additional qualified team members we will not only provide assistance to those who most need it, but, will also gain valuable live experience, which will then become useful for other future events.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To provide assistance during flooding events (e.g. Somerset)

» We train regularly in water rescue and boat operations and wish to expand our services across a wider area.

    What success will look like

We will be able to provide assistance and this will then be publicised in the local press, on our website and in our literature, and other events

  • Impact

Long term changes will be the assistance provided to communities enabling them to get back to "normal" as quickly as possible, so that they can start to recover and rebuild their lives and businesses.
Again, this will be publicised in the local and possibly national press, on our website, in our literature and by word of mouth.

There are many risks associated with this type of work, a full and dynamic risk assessment is carried out at all locations and the safety of our team and other is of utmost importance

Donors will be sent regular reports as appropriate including copies of any press releases, and newspaper cuttings etc, in additional to our annual report
