Cornwall Search and Rescue Team's New Vehicle
Cornwall Search and Rescue Team provides rescue cover in remote locations and is often called to assist the other emergency services to evacuate casualties in areas that their vehicles cannot access.
Please help us to replace our old Landrover so that we can continue this vital rescue work.
Cornwall Search and Rescue Team
Cornwall Search and Rescue Team relies on having two all terrain vehicles to get us into the remote locations where our rescues often take place. One of our vehicles is now beyond repair and this is seriously impacting on our ability to deliver the service that we are relied upon by the public and the emergency services to do.
We urgently need funds to purchase a new Landrover so that we can maintain the provision of the vital service that we give.
The purchase of a new vehicle will enable us to return to full service immediately.

Activities» We will source and purchase a second hand vehicle that meets all of our requirements.
We will be able to efficiently attend calls from the emergency services in all areas of Cornwall without delay.
Having two working vehicles will ensure that we can quickly and efficiently respond to all call-outs, therefore enabling us to maximise the potential to find and assist casualties who require our services.

Funders of this project will receive an email report detailing the new vehicle and providing information on how we will be using it going forward.

The whole county of Cornwall is covered by Cornwall Search and Rescue team and includes areas of moorland and terrain that is difficult to access by normal vehicles.
Cornwall is renowned for its many beautiful locations and as such the tourist industry is thriving. Cornwall Search and Rescue is able to provide a service to locate missing persons, to provide immediate medical care and to evacuate casualties from these areas.
The whole population of Cornwall plus visiting tourists could potentially benefit from this new vehicle. The other emergency services such as police and ambulance will also benefit by being able to call us to assist in any remote location and knowing that our attendance will be swift and appropriate in terms of equipment provided.
We are the only Mountain Rescue Team in Cornwall.
