Art Waves 2015
Project Art Waves 2015 will provide disadvantaged young people in Hackney and its neighbouring boroughs, with courses in the arts such as music, craft and wood etching, writing groups and photography which they would otherwise not have access to.
January 2015 - December 2015
Young people in these boroughs hardly have opportunities to explore their latent talents and skills. This scarcity causes the young people to get involved in undesirable activities affecting them negatively for future chances in life.
Often they are also missing the hard and soft skills needed in the work place. This makes their struggle into the job market even harder.
JTAG Ltd believes that out of hours courses aimed to express one’s inner self can inspire good habits and soft skills needed in the workplace.
By providing these young people with the correct means we hope to see a difference in the community’s young people population being employed and involved in worthwhile activities.
To provide out of hours courses to young people in need.

4 different courses will be provided over 12 months.
Young people should gain qualifications to be useful when applying for work.
Activities» The young people will achieve AQA qualifications using the Unit Award Scheme.
At least 75% of participants will gain at least one award.
Young people should acquire soft skills vital in the workplace.
Activities» Encourage team work within all activities.
Session workers will be asked for feedback regarding the young people's soft skills at the beginning and end of project.
Art Waves 2015 will change the behaviour and aspirations of young people. We hope that our young people will continue training or find work. This will inspire change in more young people.
We will demonstrate success with 75% achieving an award and continuing to further training or work.
There is a risk of young people's safety. All staff and volunteers will have to have a clean DBS or CRB record.
Funders will receive a midway and end of project report including pictures and data.

We work with young people in this area and know their needs. There is a great demand for these courses and since we already work with these people we are ideal to carry out this project.
