Transforming lives through Play

UBG will deliver interactive workshops to staff and young people in schools, youth clubs, EBU's, PRU's to raise awareness and encourage discussion of challenging social issues using educational tools designed by young people for young people, like Anti Knife Crime, Anti Bullying, Learning Awareness.

    Lack of appropriate educational tools and resources to inspire and encourage young people to discuss challenging social issues such as Knife Crime, Bullying, Transition.

    By providing young people and staff with social educational tools and training specifically designed by young people for young people to open discussion around challenging issues that affect young people today.

    » organise public events to promote awareness of young peoples issues and offer solutions to the wider community

    Number of events to promote the project and also number of young people whose lives are transformed by using the educational tools.

    Increased awareness of young peoples ability to solve their own challenging issues in an innovative, creative and effective way.

    Risk

    The logistic risks for this project schools and young peoples organisations finding space in their busy curriculum for social awareness project. UBG's strategy to counter this is preparation, planning and knowledge of curriculums combined with a wide range of networks and contacts ensuring that we can always find a window for social projects.

    Reporting

    UBG will keep our donors informed of The Transformation through Play projects progress through regular updates on the website, AGM meetings, UBG Annual Report and they will all be invited to attend the public events through out the year.

    Young people, their workers, families and local communities. UBG have a strong network of contacts in Hackney, Islington, Camden, Southwark, Newham and Tower Hamlets all boroughs with high populations of young people living in overcrowded housing on low incomes with high crime statistics and English as a second language.

    UBG has experience of delivering creative and innovative projects tackling challenging issues to young people in hard to reach and excluded communities. The charity already has a library of bespoke educational tools designed by young people for young people ready to engage and inspire many more young people across London communities. UBG also has an ever growing diverse network of links with young peoples organisations.
