LEWISHAM REFUGEE AND MIGRANT NETWORK HARDSHIP FUND

The Fund helps our clients in their times of crisis. It is a lifeline for many who have nobody to turn to and nowhere to go for support. Your donation however small will be used to those who are eligible to receive the funds.

    Help to ease the distress of financial hardship suffered by our clients who are destitute because they have no access to public funds.

    Solution

    We will fund requests for the following:
    • Medicines
    • Nappies
    • Non-cosmetic products for women’s health and care
    • Emergency travel costs
    • Baby milk
    • Other essential items

    Impact

    Once they solve their crisis, they are in a much better position to access the services and activities offered by LRMN, such as immigration, welfare and health advice, English, ESOL and ICT cleasses, and this services could improve their quality of live and provide them better opportunities.

    Recurrent clients seeking for more funds.
    We make as clear as possible to our clients that it is a restricted and one-off help, therefore it isn't an on-going help.

    Keeping records of clients who receive the fund, and how the money was used.

    Location


    LRMN based on Lewisham borough offers independent and confidential advice and information on issues such as immigration, health, housing, education, welfare benefits, in addiction we offer counselling/therapy to improve the health and wellbeing of refugee and asylum-seeker women who have experienced gender-based violence.

    Immigrants, Refugees and Asylum clients who are destitute because they have no access to public funds.

    Why Us?


    We fulfill a very important job in tough economic times and budget cuts, our aim is not only help our clients get through a punctual difficulty on their life, but to empower refugees, asylum seekers and migrants to improve their quality of life by providing culturally sensitive support, and advocacy. As well as enabling them to develop as individual to integrating to their local community.
