  • Need

    Need

Train the mentors in order to help with youngsters
    There are lack enough mentors.
Students who meet regularly with their mentors are 52% less likely than their peers to skip a day of school and 37% less likely to skip a class (Public/Private Ventures study of Big Brothers Big Sisters).
Mentors help with homework and can improve their mentees’ academic skills. Children are support less, and require someone to assist with the problems they faced, and transfer the experience to youngsters.

    Solution

To train efficiency of the mentors and improve the service for the youngsters
The strongest program benefit, and most consistent across risk groups, was a reduction in depressive symptoms — a particularly noteworthy finding given that almost one in four youth reported worrisome levels of these symptoms at baseline.
We also believe gains in social acceptance, academic attitudes and grades.
