Our charitable aims are to prevent violence in communities and aid the rehabilitation of young adult offenders by offering intensive interventions to assist them to achieve positive outcomes in their lives and remain offense free, changing behaviours and norms around conflict and violence

    Solution

    Our Violence Interrupters have the ability to reach the most hardest and disadvantaged young men and women in communities we operate. They are trusted and are able to form relationships that statutory services are unable to. A real grass roots approach in reducing shootings stabbings and killings, creating change.

    Beneficiaries

    Since 2011 we have been working with some of the most discriminated against, hard to reach young men of BME backgrounds. Often, they have been stigmatised and isolated from a young age and engaging them is extremely challenging. Our approach achieves such excellent results because we have gained the credibility, trust and support of the community, which enables us to reach those that statutory agencies cannot. All of our Violence Interrupters are all trusted role models from the communities.

    Violence interruption. a peer-led model based on the understanding that one violent attack tends to lead to another. We focus on prevention, rather than law enforcement and work by intensively engaging individuals to interrupt violence before it spreads. Our approach is completely led by members of the community, because without them, violence cannot be reduced.
