January 2014 - March 2014
A Cambodian citizen required an operation and the company he works for promised to pay the bill and advised him to go ahead. However, once he had the operation the company has refused to pay the bill, and the hospital are keeping the man against his will until payment is made. This man is too poor to pay and always will be too poor.

We primarily aim to set an innocent man free from being held captive. But we also would like to use the opportunity to make a statement protesting the illegal imprisonment of hospital patients who live in poverty and are unable to pay bills. This must be considered illegal and we would aim to try to highlight this case in order to educate the government and hospitals, and to prevent this from happening again.
By email and on facebook, and most likely in the Phnom Penh Post as well.
