Muda High School Building Project
Two years ago we visited the village of Muda and we were shocked by the state the High school was in. Huge cracks in the wall, no door or windows and students sharing 3 benches donated by the local church. We promised we would help fix Muda. We want to help rebuild the school £17000 is all we need
December 2013 - December 2016
Charity information: The Mudeka Foundation
The Foundation are trying to help Muda High School children learn in a safe environment. The current building shakes when its windy, the children have to be on alert incase the building falls down. Water comes in through when it rains, there are pot holes on the floor. The children are ambitious, they want to be Doctors, Lawyer's, Pilots, scientist, teachers. All they want is an education in a safe building with tables, chairs and a blackboard.
The project will show the children someone cares, it will give them the drive they need to reach their goals, make them believe in their dreams and ambitions. It will give them a safe environment to work in with no fear of being crashed to death. This project will liven up the whole communities spirit. Guardians, Teachers are all prepared to do their bit to help make a difference. They are making bricks using mud from the local river, local farmers have agreed help dry and store the brick

What success will look like
Success will be the visit to the school to map and collect information of the building project for the two class rooms. This will include taking 8 volunteers.
This project will give hope for further education for the young people of Muda and sorrounding areas. We will demonstrate the success of this project by documanting through photos and film. This will be become part of our presentation and increase the number of donor and interest about our charities work. Success will be defined by the increase of children able to attend fulltime High school education.
There is a risk that the exchange rate could increase above our target which would mean further fundraise. We have dealt with this problem by buying foreign currency when the rate is good and also putting money in a savings account with a high interest rate.
Funders of this project will receive constant updates through social media while we are working on the project including a newsletter which is published quarterly.
