“Music Uganda” is an inspirational project that draws on the rich talent and heritage of Ugandan youth and children, to build confidence and release their potential, as well further enhancing links through the collaboration of UK schools

    Lack of confidence and self-esteem amongst Ugandan children and young people


    Provide a means through music and the creative arts to build confidence and self-esteem

    Aim 1

    To enable Ugandan children and young people to create, perform and record songs


    » The provision of a Media Centre with sound and video recording facilities

    Links established, songs created, performed and recorded

    Linking children and young people from Uganda and the UK in the creation and recording of songs

  • Impact


    Confidence and self-esteem boosted of those involved in the project. Long term links between schools in the UK and Uganda developed


    Poor links would reduce the effectiveness of the project, however strong links and a good internet connection are already in place. Ability to train and have sufficient professional skills available could reduce the effectiveness of the project. High quality training and personel with the appropriate skill sets are also in place

    The Media Centre will be located at Discovery Centre near to Jinja in Uganda. Schhols in the UK will be involved
