Providing Legal Support and tackling homelessness

Despencers Legal Support do not want to rely solely on donations to enable us to provide legal support and housing support to our service users.
Our Big Idea is to raise the funds to conduct businesses in our own name, generate our own funds and be self-sustainable after receipt of funding.

    Solution

The project will provide the funding we need to open our first charity shop, conduct businesses in our own name in accordance with the charity legislature and be self-sustainable to provide the legal support and housing to our service users without limit or constraint.

  • Impact

    Impact

The prevention and relief of poverty

Reduce hardship and distress through the provision of or assistance in the provision of free legal advice and representations to those who are unable to pay for such service.

The relief of the needs of homeless people by the provision of housing and such other support to make them self-sustainable.

    Risk

    Low risk.
The main risk to this project is insufficient funding to enable us to afford to acquire the assets to continue to generate our own funds. Relying solely on public donations could result in the charity ceasing to exist due to the current economy climate.
