Hopefield Animal Sanctuary needs a horsebox to help transport rescued horses, donkeys and larger animals, and to get them to the vet.
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary
At the moment we have to hire and borrow horseboxes to pick up rescued horses and donkeys. This means it can be quite slow before we can get out to pick an animal up, and we have to try and plan vet trips in advance.
Having a horsebox will easily allow us to pick up horses, donkeys and larger animals that need rescuing. We also have to borrow a horsebox every time a horse needs to go into the vets. We can have quite a lot of veterinary care on site, but emergencies require the horses to be taken in. Having a horsebox will allow us to get horses to the vets in an emergency.
-To collect large animals such as horses that need rescuing
Activities» When we get a call to pick up an animal that needs rescuing we will be able to go straight away
The success of this aim will be measured in the shorter time it takes to pick up rescued animals
-To transport large animals to the vet
Activities» When we need to take a horse or larger animal in for veterinary treatment we will be able to do so without hiring a horsebox
-Take horses and donkeys out in the community to schools and retirement homes
Activities» -We would like to get people interacting with animals to learn more about them
As soon as we have the horsebox, we will start going out to local schools and retirement homes
Being able to transport animals will teach people in the community about how to care for them properly to avoid accidental neglect. It will also allow more horses to be picked up in emergencies and taken to the vet.
We will email donors monthly about the project and keep them updated with how it is going. After the money has been raised, we will let them know how the horsebox has benefited Hopefield's animals.

Hopefield Animal Sanctuary is based in Brentwood, Essex.
The animals of Hopefield will benefit from the purchase of a horsebox, as well as new animals that need rescuing. Local schools and retirement homes will also benefit as we will be able to take the animals to them.
Hopefield has been rescuing animals for the past 30 years, and currently has over 300 animals under their care. A horsebox will help Hopefield to grow and continue taking in emergency cases.
