  • Need

A team of educationalists created the programme in response to increasing concern about the extent and depth of emotional and behavioural difficulties displayed by children in classrooms and communities around the world. SFK believes that every child deserves to develop into a self-confident, happy human being who is on the path to achieving their full potential and living a bright and extraordinary life.

We have an award winning curriculum which will tackle and solve the early signs of low self esteem and confidence in children aged 7 to 16, lack of self belief and purpose which if left unnoticed and not addressed has the potential to develop a generation which we now call 'the lost generation' aged 18-25 who take up nearly 50% of unemployment. Our curriculum is fun, engaging, activity workshops, which allows the child to find themselves and the best part of them with the people around them.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To give to those in need, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Developing leaders of tomorrow.

» we have outdoor sports activities encouraging teamwork, effort, and challenges, along with discipline and attitude needed to achieve goals.
» Art projects for the children to make and create to take home reminding them of the important life skill to apply in their lives to create change.
» Fun animated videos of a boy going through the game of life, needing the children's help to dig deep and overcome life's challnges.
» Demonstrations, drama, and fun workbooks also used to address visual, audio and kinaesthetic learners. Volunteer mentors to help and support process

Decrease in child engagement, school, sports, increase academically. feedback from the children, their class peers, parents, the teachers from their schools on any improvement.

  • Impact

The more we can be a constant in the lives of these children, while showering them with positive and empowering life tools to be the best they can be in all that they do they, then we will see a rise in academic results in school through hard work and effort, resulting in good behaviour and less chance of truancy in secondary school, encouraging positive friendships rather than the gang culture so many turn to because of learning difficulties, or lack of self belief or direction.

I'm not sure if its a risk but, what has happened before is a high demand for our workshop activities throughout the year and managing to fit every, school, charity, organisation in so everyone can benefit from our programme. We have dealt with this before by offering shorter days/hours to those requesting the most, which allows us to give regular short bursts of workshops to all.

Donors and funders of these projects will be emailed every 6 to 8 weeks with an update of what has happened, what's happening currently and what's happening next. We try and arrange 2 to 3 meetings a year with all the funders/donors, for personal interaction, sometimes with a child from the course.

  • Background

There is not one location for our project, we cover pretty much most of London, Lambeth, Hackney, Haringey, Tower Hamlets, Westminster, just to name a few. We usually target area's and communities most in need of physically, emotional and spiritual sustenance. So we look at statistics of unemployment, free school dinners, council housing, etc.

It starts with the individual child benefiting from the project. And from there they are awakened to how using the smallest of steps to begin with how they can start to pay it forward and help another child, adult, then their neighbourhood, community, their borough, etc and if we can awaken and inspire just a few children to take it all the way, we will see changes for all for good.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We have successfully taught in Primary and Secondary schools during curriculum time for the last 7 years, also running summer camps, half term activity weeks, and in that time developed a strong working relationship with primary and secondary schools who contribute to the successful running of this project.
