  • Need

Over the last 2 years our annual outgoings have almost doubled. Although we regularly fundraise most of the money raised is spent on the running costs of the building and we struggle to build any reserves.

The installation of a wind turbine will save between £2000 and £4000
per year on our electricity bills and will do so for approx 20 years.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

    Install a wind turbine

» We will hold fundraising and sponsorship events involving as many people in the community as possible..
» We will write to many foundations, trusts and local businesses requesting support for the project.

Once installed we will be able to promote the success of the project via local press, village newsletter and letterbox drops.

  • Impact

We have recently protected our playing fields through the Fields In Trust inititive in conjunction with Queen Elizabeth 11 Fields Challenge. This is in line with our view to provide playing field facilities for years to come. The project will assist in this regard as any profits realised simply allow us to reinvest in our facilities. Success will be the addition of more facilities for the whole community tio enjoy.

For projects such as these there are strict guidelines and planning permissions to be met prior to the commencement of any works being undertaken. All necessary stages will be completed first to ensure all risks are kept to a minimum

Whether reporting is required or not any project we undertake we make a photographic record at the varying stages from groundworks to completetion. Some grant providers have their own forms and set reporting requirements which we have prior experience of having succesfully completed other projects

We mainly benefit the children of Wilberfoss and surrounding villages although our facilities are enjoyed by the whole community.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

In the last 10 years we have succesfully completed 2 major projects to erect a childrens play area from nothing and to provide new changing room and toilet facilities to our pavilion. We feel we have the necessary experience to manage a project through from start to finish for the benefit of our community.
