  • Background

Centre 33 is based at 33 Clarendon Street in Cambridge. Whilst, the building is ideally located for young people to access as it is near to the City Centre, local schools and colleges, Cambridge bus station and within a residential area it no longer provides the space, environment or security required for the services provided.

Young people living in Cambridge City, south and east Cambridgeshire. Approximately 80,000 young people live in Cambridge City, South and East Cambridgeshire. Of these 15,090 children live in relative poverty in Cambridgeshire, 12% of the total. Children and young people’s poverty in Cambridgeshire is affected by more inequality, skills gaps, housing shortages and specific concerns for rural communities. Numbers of young people (aged 0-19 years) is set to rise by 6% between 2008-2021.
