    Need

Often children & young people with disabilities are excluded from a lifestyle which others take for granted. They want to join in and take part in the same sorts of activities as other children and gain their independence. Many people assume that a child with a disability would automatically get the equipment they need to do this but sadly this is not the case.

    Solution

£100k would enable us to provide this vital equipment for 100 more children in the UK to enable them to experience these everyday things that we take for granted, often for the first time in their lives. Whether it’s a walking frame to help them to take their first steps outside or a powered wheelchair enabling them to join their family on a walk, it can literally change their life overnight. With your help we can achieve this.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To raise £100,000 to change the lives of 100 disabled children in 2013

    Activities

» We have a programme of fundraising activity around the country and on overseas adventures

Success will be giving 100 children the equipment they need

  • Impact

    Impact

This specialised equipment will help them manage their disability and lead a happier life. The different equipment brings different benefits to each individual child such as: exercise, strengthening muscles, helping to prevent the need for surgical interventions, access to independent mobility, ability to play with their friends or go out with the family or providing safe, secure transport.

    Risk

    Lack of income
Ongoing review of income to enable contingency planning
We do not need to reach the total to help children. Each £1000 will go to help a child immediately

    Reporting

We can only give details of children where the families allow us to do so. However overall numbers and total given can be reported.

We use it every day & his legs are so much stronger. Every child should have a bike & we didn’t think that he could but we are amazed and so grateful.
