  • Need

    Need

RCCG Harvest Fellowship is a vibrant community of 100 or so people. We are constrained in the use of our building for community projects due to the fact we have to rent out all of the best rooms to be able to meet our overhead costs.

    Solution

By owning the whole property will allow us to focus on our community action programmes like Winter Shelter for the homeless & JobClub for the unemployed.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To raise the deposit on a mortgage to purchase the building.

    Activities

» Issue 100 fundraising unit bonds to groups / members in our community network. £2,250 each
    » Organize sponsored events
    » By donations

    Success will be finding 40%-50% downpayment deposit on £450,000 (i.e. £180,000 - £225,000)

  • Impact

    Impact

Once a mortgage has been secured, we will pursue planning permission to install a lift to make the 1st & 2nd floors accessible to disabled people.
We will demonstrate the success of fundraising by monitoring our increased usage of the facility by community groups in the heart of Rugby.

    Risk

If planning permission not granted for lift we will have to change our plan and develop other income generating projects

    Reporting

Donors to this project will receive an email report at the end of the year detailing amount raised and our mortgage terms and any forthcoming activities

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We are successfully impacting the lives of 100 or so local community members by holding training events, equipping and inspiring people of all ages and nationalities to serve and transform their community.
We already help in a partnership to deliver overnight shelter to homeless people.
The centre is open on a weekly basis (2hrs) to offer free internet access for job search and holding out a helping hand in job club support to unemployed people.
This project will extend our effectiveness.
