  • Aims

    Aim 1

Empower each child to get out of poverty

» Providing fees for orphans and vulnerable children to attend primary and secondary school
» Providing a basic nutritional programme to each primary school
» Providing resources to support the children through school (uniforms, stationery) support the schools ability to deliver high quality education
» Providing access to tertiary education (vocational training or higher education) or access to micro-finance & community development opportunities

Success will be sending 300 children to school each year.

  • Impact

The project will reverse the decline school attendance due to lack of school fees and poor health and welfare. We will demonstrate the success of this project by monitoring the number of children in school, increase in attendance and performance. Success will be a 10% increase in this number for the next 3 years. We will continue to work closely with local schools to track the progress of the students

There is a risk that some of the children being looked after by aged grandparents could be displaced if the guardian dies or cannot care for them.

Funders of this project will receive a termly email report on the project detailing the ongoing and forthcoming activities, and any necessary changes that have been made to the project plans.
