Clean safe water for drinking and fruit orchards
We are seeking funding towards the drilling of 2 boreholes and supply for the fruit orchards to the village of Kwahu district in Ghana. There are no boreholes near the school and the surrounding community .
January 2013 - January 2014
Daily Hope Foundation
To promote continuous education of the children of the beneficiaries of these boreholes by preventing them from walking long distances in search of water thus missing school.
To provide potable water to the beneficiaries who without the boreholes depend on unclean water from streams and rivers standing the risk of diseases and premature deaths.
Illnesses and diseases related to water borne will be vastly reduced if the students can have access to safe water. The water will supply the irrigation of the community start up fruit orchards. The walking distance and long hours spent to fetch clean water will be reduced.
Our main is to raise enough money to drill the most needed boreholes before the end of 2013.
Activities» To organise different types of charity fundraising activities which help to boost up our target.
Success will be raising enough funds to start drilling the two boreholes and when the boreholes are officially handed over to the villagers.
The sustainability of a healthy community which have clean and safe water to drink and use for domestic uses. The attendance of the students at school will change because they wont have long distance to travel and fetch some water. The success of the start up community fruit orchards.
The risk is that if we are not able to raise enough funds to drill the two boreholes needed in a short time , students will keep on travel long distance to fetch water and miss lessons. The people will still use contaminated water from the streams and get ill. We have to approach funders who can contribute towards the target and shorten the duration of the project.
Donors will be updated regularly via email, facebook, twitter and newsletters.

The organization does charity work in the villages of Atoubikrom in Kwahu district in Ghana. The area is very far from the nearest town. There is no clean water near so the students and the villagers have to travel long distances to fetch clean water so there is a great need for this project to be successful.
It is essential for the local school to have a clean and safe supply of water for the whole school to use. The whole community will benefit from a clean supply of water. There will be easy irrigation of the fruit orchards.
The organization has been working with the local schools and the surrounding villages for years and has got extensive experience of reducing poverty through providing basic services, livelihood initiatives, education programmes which all have results which promote sustainability .
