The Wiener Library Book Fund Appeal
To support the Library's ongoing acquisition of newly published works and rare books and pamphlets.
This project is ongoing.
Charity information: The Wiener Library for the Study of the Holocaust & Genocide
The Wiener Library is Britain's largest collection of books and documents relating to the Holocaust and Nazi era and provides a unique resource for researchers, academics and educators.
However, as a privately funded institution, the Library is struggling in the current climate to fund its core running costs, and the budget for books and acquisitions is being cut.
Raising £25,000 per annum will ensure that the Library can purchase the books it needs to develop its collection and provide educators and scholars across the UK with the resources they need.
Raise £25,000 per annum to fund the purchase of published works relating to the Holocaust.
Activities» We are reaching out to all our new and existing supporters to help us achieve this goal.
What success will look like
Success will be when the Library has secured £25,000 to purchase, accession and catalogue new works.
The success of the Book Fund Appeal will ensure that The Wiener Library remains the foremost resource in the UK for the study of the Holocaust and genocide, attracting scholars from around the world to study and work with its materials.
If the appeal is not successful, the Library's book budget will remain at a reduced level. Over time, this would impact negatively on the quality of the Library's collections.
All donors to the Book Fund Appeal will receive notification on the success of the project.
