Provide and create a public community and welfare building. A social meeting space which is affordable and available

    Create an easily available and affordable community/welfare building in an area where no such facilties exist.
    A space for Scouts to share with childrens parties, social circles and hobby groups.


    Improve an existing building solely used by a scout group at minimal cost to create a greater value social asset.

    Refurbish 'Rackets Court' Cliff Lane


    » Install disabled ramp and refurbish toilet facilities to provide disabled access.
    » Replace main hall floor and install underfloor heating.
    » Install cavity wall insulation
    » Open up 'gallery' area to create meeting space

    What success will look like

    Success will be... community groups acessing our building regulary.

  • Impact


    Scout group thriving in conjunction with other new and existing community welfare groups. All sharing the benefits of a low cost buildng


    Lease - Building owner has agreed to meet the conditions of any restrictions with regards to donations.
    Costs - allowances will need to be buiilt in for cost overruns.
    Restrictions - whilst works are being carried out the building will be unavailable. We have outline agreements in place with other groups as a temp meeting spaces


    Financial statements, newsletters and committee minutes.
