  • Need

UK youth unemployment is at an all time high and many young people are facing an uncertain future. EIL wants to work with young people from across Worcestershire (and eventually beyond) and prepare them for an international volunteering / work experience project that will boost their confidence and life chances upon return.

Our existing programme shows us clearly that over 50% of the young people who have been supported to undertake international work experience with our partners have found meaningful employment, education or volunteering positions within a year of the project. We are proud of this and the positive impact that our programmes have on participants.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To set up a Travel Award fund for young, disadvantaged people to access.

» The Travel Awards will be governed by our staff, trustees and previous participants and awards will be made to those fitting the criteria.

    Aim 2

To prepare the participants for the challenges of international work experience and volunteering

» We have accredited in house trainers who prepare our outbound participants for the experience, covering language and culture shock.

    Aim 3

To work with our global partners to create high quality work experience and volunteering projects.

» We bear upon our excellent track record and create programmes as part of a global federation.
