Support 10 more girls in high school in Lesotho
The Big Idea is to increase the number of girls from poor families who are not eligible for state funding to complete high school. We know that many of the girls have high aspirations and are capable of getting to university level. Poverty should not prevent them from fulfilling their dreams.
January 2013 - December 2013
The problem the project is trying to solve is lack of education for bright girls in Lesotho who their parents are unable to pay their school fees or exam fees. Educare Fund is trying to offer financial support to girls in high school so that the fees become affordable.
Educare Fund works in partnership with families who already have girls in high schools in various parts of the country by topping up the school fees for each girl. The charity also pays for examination fees for any of the girls who are in years that require the taking of exams for progression to subsequent high school years.
The first aim is to continue topping up the schools fees that parents have not fully paid.
Activities» We carry out various fund raising within each year. Such as sponsored runs and morning coffees. The success will be reflected by funds raised.
Provide a record of school fees paid within the year.

Activities» Continue with fund raising activities. Plan Car Boot sales within the year.

* The long term changes the project bring about is the education for the girls it supports to enable them to be able built a future for themselves and their families.
In the past we have kept in touch with our students and their progress, this will continue to be the process.
The project will produce feedback sheet for the students regarding the support they received this will be used to demonstrate the long term changes the project has brought about.
The risks that can influence the success of this project could be;
1. Not being able to identify or find runners for the planned marathons.
2. Risks of coffee mornings or other activities not able to raised desired income.
- Previously when faced with this problem we have identified several volunteers and were still able to get runners in chosen races.
- Previously planned more coffee or other methods of fund raising to be able to meet our target.
The donors will receive a report of the income and the expenditure of the money raised and how it was spent.
