What success will look like
Success will be establishment of a Life Skills House at The Collett School.
All our students will have access to the Life Skills House as part of their daily curriculum, and this will contribute significantly to their independent skills as they prepare to leave school and move on into the community. Success will be demonstrated through the achievements of our students obtaining appropriate accreditated qualifications, and through recognition of their skills by their parents, families and future learning providers.
There is a risk that the process may overrun due to requirements for agreement wiht local authority departments. We will deal with this through early consultation with all interested parties.
Reporting is proposed on a half-termly basis through written interim reports. Donors will also be kept informed more frequently by email updates.

Primarily students at the school and their families. Young people in the wider community would have the opportunity to use the facility as we develop links with other local schools and community groups.
We are the assocation most strongly linked with the school, being formed of parents, carers, teachers and governors. We aim to tap into the skills of our parents and of local businesses in order to make the project a success.
