Motorcycle Shop to Youth Centre

Reign Ministries is currently renovating a derelict Motorcycle Shop. The facility will serve several key purposes that will move our ministry forward in it's goals of caring for the youth of our community, developing passionate, professional Youth Workers, as well as office space for our staff.

The renovation will take approximately 2 months

  • Need

The youth of our community are vulnerable, disillusioned and purposeless. Not only do they need meaningful relationships with adults who care about them, but they need to be a part of something that is greater than themselves. They need to be given a chance to explore faith, but also given chances to develop leadership and job skills and be encouraged towards academic excellence.

We believe by renovating this facility we can begin offer the programmes that will help our local teenagers to gain valuable life and leadership skills, opportunities to participate in the arts and community service projects.
This renovation will also allow the staff of Reign Ministries to have an office hub to work out of for the first time in it's history. Working together in a shared office will increase synergy and propel the ministry forward as it seeks to develop youth and Youth Workers.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Renovate the interior of the facilitiy

» -Office space for 8 staff -Gathering space for 40

    What success will look like

Success will be a purpose-built space where we can run programmes such as after-school course-work clubs, classes in the arts, faith exploration groups, and a micro-business.

  • Impact

This project will benefit local youth because they will get to interact regularly with adults with care about them. They will be challenged towards academic excellence and given support to continue in education. They will be equipped with life and job skills as they practice leadership through community projects.

The biggest risk to this project is securing funding, and securing credible, competent professionals to do the renovation.

We have successfully raised over £300,000 to this point to secure the building and refurbish the upstairs. We are making several fundraising campaigns, in addition to this one to raise the final £45,000 needed to complete the renovation of the youth centre and office space.

We will report to donors with a project update, that communicates how the fundraising is progressing. Once work begins we will provide regular updates on the renovation and photos to show the renovation as well as the youth using the facility.

  • Background

Bicester is a rapidly growing community of approximately 35,000 people. Over the next 20 years there are plans to build 6,500 new homes here.

The facility we are renovating is on the main street into Bicester. It is easily accessible to teenagers as it is just two blocks from the town centre.

Reign ministries cares for all of the youth of Bicester, however we often find the youth we help are some of the most marginalized and vulnerable in our community.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

We are youth work specialists who have a 10 year history in the Bicester community working with churches and schools. We have competent and caring staff who work to intersect the lives of teenagers, offer support, encouragement and develop the youth into young leaders.
