Netherfield Forum and the local WI group are planning to hold a Christmas Day Lunch for anyone in Netherfield who would like company and a hot meal on this special day. The meal will be served from 12:30 - 2pm at the St George's Centre, Netherfield by volunteers to make this day a special. 9113302

We are targeting lonely and vulnerable people who are left on their own on Christmas Day. This project is about giving to those who may not have family and friends to share a special day with. The volunteers are local people who are happy to provide a transport service to collect and deliver back to attendees home. This is a heart warming project which will alleviate the problem of loneliness in our community which is heavily population of the elderly and vulnerable.
Yes it will enable 50+ people to share a community hot Christmas meal on the 25th December 2012. It will provide a theree course Christmas Dinner at no cost to the those attending. They will experience a sense of belonging and have company on what can be lonely couple of days for those on their own.
Sourcing the food for this event from local businesses to help support our community.

What success will look like
Success will be measured by the how much funding we can raise to support this event in providing a three course meal for those attending, along with providing a gift.

Success will be knowing that we have achieved our goals on Christmas Day and by those involved. .
We are hoping that the success of this event will open out to bigger and larger communities providing a Christmas project such as ours. The Netherfield Forum work on behalf of the community to proved relief from poverty and loneliness. The Trustees strive to achieve this and work in partnership with organisations such as the local Women's Institute.
Not as yet, but are aware there may be a few especially artound the transport side
We will provide a report to the donors to show the success of the project and how and when improvements can be made. From start to finish we are keeping a file on all activities and meetings. This will form the basis of our report.

The Netherfield forum will host the Christmas Day Project at the community centre St George's Centre, 91 Victoria Road, Netherfield, Nottingham, NG4 2NN
Local residents of Netherfield and surrounding areas if places become available.
We are at the heart of the Netherfield community and have kitchen facilitie, a large hall, enough table and chairs to enable us to fulfil this project . The Community of Netherfield have a high population of the elderly who we look to support where we can.
