Free Computer Class for disadvantaged local people
Our computer class is always full with people, some with hearing problems or learning difficulties, and need to use the Internet in a relaxing atmosphere.
September 2016 - December 2016
Charity information: North Bristol Community Project
From previous experiance we are aware that there are many people with some kind of health problems
physical or mental health. there seems now to be more people with physical problems as they get older, also persons with learning difficulties are more common.
Our previous computer classes where always well attended, by individuals and small groups, in need of a relaxing experience and atmosphere.
This will again give people a chance to meet people, talk and learn about computers and the Internet.
We will start a four month computer class.
this will be a one hour session once a week.
Activities» We expect to have at least five people attending the weekly meeting and to buy new computer equipment for people to learn on.
What success will look like
Success will be...the attendance of people or small groups for the duration.
The project will help people learn about computers and the Internet, who do not have Internet access.
Success will be judged by the amount of people attending!
There is the risk of tutors drop out due to illness, so we have another tutor who would be available at short notice.
Donors to our project will be able to receive a monthly email report on the project.

we have held computer classes in our area over the years, that have helped many people, The area is supposedly affluent, but more people are actually in need of all the help they can get!
More and more people living in this area are on low incomes, with health issues, or low skills, so to have computer help for a few hours a week is of great help for those that are in need
We have successfully held Computer Classes for most years and people keep coming to to use our Internet and classroom,
